Senior Manager, Engineering & Maintenance - (Ontario, OR)

Heinz North America is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering & Maintenance to manage, lead and direct all Maintenance and Engineering team members in plant maintenance, engineering, and capital project activities consistent with ongoing reliability at this site to ensure maximum potential is realized for the entire factory operation. This includes all maintenance reliability functions consisting of departmental budgets, computerized maintenance management systems, preventive/predictive maintenance programs, electrical, electronics and programming, process, packaging, waste treatment, building and grounds and the maintenance and operation of the boiler and refrigeration systems as well as Engineering work consisting of capital budget management, project identification, development, planning, execution and closure all while ensuring compliance with regulations and corporate standards. A leader who will''K -'Direct the development and implementation of maintenance and reliability programs and processes to ensure the facilities ability to deliver a safe and efficient operation that provides an objective return on investment within the boundaries of available resources. -'Lead the reliability maintenance team including performance evaluations, salary administration, career development and coordination of technical duties. -'Provide strong and effective leadership within the department and plant to create a shared vision within the maintenance organization and highly cooperative and team-oriented relationship with all other factory disciplines. -'Align with the needs of the business by consulting with the Factory Manager, other factory staff members, key leadership and floor employees on recommendations for improvements to current methods or procedures to help or assist operations in optimizing or realizing the highest return on equipment investment. -'Manage outside contractor contracts and maintains professional relationships within prescribed Company parameters for procuring goods and services. -'Work in concert with the Loss Prevention Manager, Environmental/ Energy Supervisor, Quality Assurance and Sanitation Supervisors to ensure full compliance on all safety, environmental, sanitation and regulatory issues. -'Provide leadership in support of EHS initiatives: This includes OSHA, PSM, RMP, EPA, USDA, FDA and all other local, state and federal agencies. Creating, implementing and monitoring work processes to achieve compliance with mechanical integrity [OSHA 1910.119(j)], Oregon regulations and corporate standards. -'Manage prioritization of key product, business and employee risk elements including work processes equipment, assessment and prioritization of infrastructure upgrades through a methodical analysis of key risk factors to develop, implement and monitor progress toward optimal configuration. -'Manage the reliability and maintenance processes and system and creates, implements and monitors metrics to identify continuous improvement needs and performance management issues. -'Manage the capital and expense budgeting and cash-flow process to maximize utilization of available resources. -'Ensure that a clear and effective project management process is in place and being utilized consistently in order to deliver projects which meet or exceed expectations. -'Manage the documentation system (e.g. equipment files) -'Implement and monitors MRO procurement processes. Ensure inventory in stores is adequate and optimum to meet business needs. -'Conduct performance evaluations and wage administration of maintenance and reliability personnel in accordance with Company standards as directed by Human Resources. -'Actively support employee and career development of Maintenance and Reliability personnel.
